The Pony Express Trail enters Utah around Evanston Wyoming, follows I-80 down through Salt Lake then heads south and west to cross the state. The trail today is best followed by picking it up near Fairfield and following the markers west. There are many interesting sites to see along the trail. The reconstructed site at Simpson Springs is shown here.

As you follow the trail, there are many markers showing where the various stations were located.

Near the Utah/Nevada border, the Canyon Station has what is left of the remains on display. It was round in design and sits at the mouth of Overland Canyon.
